PhilHealth YAKAP Caravan | June 5, 2026
The Philippine YAKAP Caravan was successfully conducted at the Calape Sports Center, bringing essential healthcare services closer to the community. Through this initiative, beneficiaries were provided with free consultations, health screening, and access to essential medicines, strengthening the commitment to accessible and preventive healthcare for all.
The activity was led by Municipal Health Officer Dr. Mary Therese N. Arreza, together with our Rural Health Physician Dr. Mara Belle Esther L. Quirino, with the full support of the Local Government Unit of Calape under the leadership of Mayor Dr. Junie Yu Jr., aimed at ensuring accessible, efficient, and patient-centered healthcare services for Calape.
The success of the activity was further strengthened by the participation of distinguished physicians from neighboring municipalities: Dr. Julius F. Tabigue (Duero), Dr. Reina Jane V. Demandante (Clarin), Dr. Dewy A. Demadante (Sagbayan), and Dr. Noemi Angel S. Cabardo (San Isidro), whose expertise and dedication greatly contributed to the effective delivery of healthcare services.
Also present during the activity was Ms. Rowena C. Quilab, DMO IV of DOH-CVCHD, together with the NHWSS personnel, whose support further reinforced the collaborative efforts in delivering quality healthcare services to the community.
Healthcare personnel from the Calape Primary Care Facility actively assisted patients throughout the conduct of the activity, ensuring smooth delivery of consultations, health screenings, and other essential medical services.
The Calape Primary Care Facility extends its sincere gratitude to PhilHealth, particularly the LHIO Tagbilaran Team, for spearheading this initiative, as well as to all partners and stakeholders whose support made the successful implementation possible.
Together, we continue to promote a healthier and stronger community through the PhilHealth YAKAP Program.
