Artificial Eye / Prosthetic Eye

Can you see with an artificial eye?
Answer: NO.

If the entire eye is removed, an ocular implant and prosthesis prevent the eye tissue from growing to fill the empty space in the eye socket. Though it is a replacement to the natural eye, one can't see with a prosthetic eye.

A total of 𝟐𝟗𝟕 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝟑𝟐𝟕 (𝟗𝟎.𝟖𝟑%) passed the October 2024 Optometrist Licensure Exam, the Professional Regulation Commission announced on Thursday.

Danielle Ramboyong King from Centro Escolar University - Manila led the list of topnotchers with the highest score of 88.87 percent.
