The Department of Dermatology remains dedicated to delivering holistic, compassionate, and patient-centered care for Persons Affected by Leprosy (PALs) through our monthly community support and engagement activities.

These gatherings provide opportunities for meaningful interaction through shared conversations, recreational activities, and celebrations. More importantly, they foster a supportive environment where our patients are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion while strengthening the bond between the healthcare team and the community we serve.

At the Department of Dermatology, we believe that healing extends beyond clinical care. By promoting inclusion, reducing stigma, and encouraging meaningful human connection, we continue to empower Persons Affected by Leprosy and reaffirm our commitment to improving not only health outcomes but also quality of life.

Bringing quality skin care closer to the community.

On July 25, 2026, the Department of Dermatology of Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital and Sanitarium, in partnership with the Caloocan City Health Department, conducted the Kilatis Kutis Medical Mission at Sta. Quiteria Elementary School, Caloocan City as part of its continuing monthly initiative to advance leprosy control and elimination. Through free dermatologic consultations, patient education, and leprosy screening, residents from Barangays 162 and 163 received comprehensive skin health services.

Together, we continue to strengthen community health, promote early detection, and move closer toward a leprosy-free future.

Alamin. Protektahan. Gamutin.

The Department of Dermatology continues its commitment to holistic care through community support and engagement activities for Persons Affected by Leprosy (PALs).

Every month, we share meaningful conversations, interactive games, shared meals, music, and celebrations with them. These gatherings foster connection, dignity, joy, and mutual support among our patients and healthcare team.

More than a series of activities, these moments remind us that healing extends beyond medical treatment. It thrives in compassion, community, and human connection. Together, we continue to build a supportive environment where every PAL feels valued, heard, and empowered.
