Riot Games is honored to announce Rasmus “Caps” Winther as the third inductee into the LoL Esports Hall of Legends. Known as a beacon of hope whose legacy reshaped what the West believed was possible on the global stage, Caps becomes the first Western League of Legends pro to earn the distinction.

Widely regarded as the defining Western player of his generation, Caps built his legacy through a rare blend of elite skill, creativity, and authenticity. From his meteoric rise as a rookie to becoming the most decorated player in European League of Legends history, Caps has consistently proven he can stand toe-to-toe with the world’s best while staying true to his own style. Known as both a dependable teammate and an innovative force on the Rift, he inspires those around him to play boldly and push the boundaries of what’s possible. Off the Rift, Caps’ warmth, humility, and sense of camaraderie have made him a beloved figure among teammates and fans alike. In an era where many chased established trends, Caps became a beacon of hope for the West: living proof that individuality, joy, and creativity can compete at the highest level.

“Caps always felt like the player you could never fully prepare for,” said Chris Greeley, Global Head of LoL Esports. “He has that rare ‘it’ factor, the ability to rise in the biggest moments through his playmaking, leadership, and calming presence under pressure. Caps will be celebrated at the official Hall of Legends Trophy Ceremony in Berlin, Germany, on August 18. Caps also will be honored throughout the duration of the Hall of Legends in-game event beginning September 10, which includes an event pass that will guide players throughout his career and dedicated cosmetic items.
