Kids Dream Surf 2026: Waves Without Limits 🌊💙 🏄♀️ 06-28-26
Five years ago, Kids Dream Surf started with one simple dream from our visionary leader Dr. Glenda Bello—to give children with disabilities and special needs the opportunity to experience the joy of surfing and to remind them, and the world, that there are no limits to what they can do when given the chance.
Today, that dream has become a movement.
Kids Dream Surf is a FREE ANNUAL surfing event organized by HealthPro Therapy Center in partnership with the Southern Ilocos Sur Medical Society, Provincial Government of La Union, Local Government Unit of San Juan, La Union Surf Club, Inner Wheel Club of La Union South, Monfort Foundation, Inc., together with our generous sponsors, volunteers, and community partners. Every year, we come together with one goal—to create a safe, inclusive, and unforgettable day for our amazing children and their families.
Last June 28, 2026, 76 neurodivergent children from different municipalities across Region I reminded us what courage, resilience, and pure joy truly look like. They rode the waves, built sandcastles, played with bubbles, conquered obstacle courses, laughed, smiled, and simply enjoyed being kids.
None of this would have been possible without our incredible volunteers —the Healthpro Organizing team, surfers from the La Union Surf Club, therapists, SPED teachers, doctors, volunteers from La Union, Baguio, Pampanga, and Manila, our sponsors, partners, and everyone who gave their time, resources, and hearts. 💕
Thank you for believing in this advocacy and for showing our children that they belong.
The biggest gift wasn’t just seeing them ride the waves or receiving tokens from sponsors. It was seeing their smiles, hearing their laughter, watching parents cheer with tears in their eyes, and witnessing a community embrace every child exactly as they are.
As we celebrate our 5th Kids Dream Surf, my heart is filled with nothing but gratitude. Thank you to everyone who has walked this journey with us since 2022. Because of all of you, what once seemed impossible continues to change lives, inspire hope, and build a more inclusive community.
This is more than surfing.
This is more than a one-day event.
This is what happens when a community chooses inclusion.
Here’s to many more years of changing lives, one wave at a time.
Because together, there truly are… 🌊 Waves Without Limits. 💙
