❤️🩸 BLOOD LETTING PROGRAM 🩸❤️

Barangay Liburon proudly celebrates its successful Blood Letting Program in collaboration with the Philippine Red Cross.

While we did not reach our target of 130 donors, we are grateful to have collected blood from 66 generous donors, achieving approximately 51% of our goal. Every bag of blood donated is a chance to save lives, and for that, we are truly thankful.

This meaningful activity was spearheaded by Barangay Captain Alma Rentillosa, together with the Barangay Council and Health Committee Chairperson Hon. Novem S. Orias, with the presence and support of Hon. Jennette Castañares and Hon. Inocentes L. Amistad.

Our sincere appreciation also goes to the Carcar City Health Office, Ms. Grecia, Ms. Dawnna, Ms. Ezra, Ms. Maria Alipan (Brgy. Midwife) and Sir Ian for their invaluable assistance. Special thanks as well to HEPO Mrs. Lyra Rodriguez, our dedicated BNSs and BHWs, whose hard work and commitment contributed greatly to this endeavor.

Barangay Liburon successfully conducted its 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫'𝐬 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 2026, a health education activity designed to equip mothers with essential knowledge and skills on maternal and child care, nutrition, breastfeeding, family health, and responsible parenting.

The activity was spearheaded by 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐥𝐦𝐚 𝐘. 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐚 together with the 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧, 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦 𝐒. 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐬, with the invaluable assistance of 𝘽𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙮 𝙈𝙞𝙙𝙬𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙈𝙨. The activity was attended by pregnant women, postpartum mothers, first-time mothers, and lactating mothers, who actively participated in learning sessions focused on prenatal and postnatal care, proper nutrition, breastfeeding practices, child development, and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Special appreciation is extended to the dedicated Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) and Barangay Staff for their tireless efforts and full support in making the activity successful.

Through the continuous conduct of Mother's Class, Barangay Liburon reaffirms its commitment to promoting healthier families by empowering mothers with knowledge, confidence, and access to quality health information. In line with the ongoing efforts to promote a safe, healthy, and drug-free working environment, Barangay Liburon conducted a 𝘿𝙧𝙪𝙜-𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙋𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙮 𝙊𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 alongside a Random Drug Testing activity for all barangay employees and members of the Barangay Council.

The activity was carried out under the supervision of the 𝑩𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒚 𝑨𝒏𝒕𝒊-𝑫𝒓𝒖𝒈 𝑨𝒃𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒍 (𝑩𝑨𝑫𝑨𝑪), headed by the 𝘽𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙮 𝘾𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣, 𝙃𝙤𝙣. 𝘼𝙡𝙢𝙖 𝙔. 𝙍𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙖. The initiative was further supported by the 𝙑𝙞𝙘𝙚-𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙣 𝙋𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙊𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙧, 𝙃𝙤𝙣. 𝙄𝙣𝙤𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙇. 𝘼𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙙, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙚 𝙤𝙣 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝, 𝙃𝙤𝙣. 𝙉𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙢 𝙎. The orientation provided comprehensive information regarding the 𝑫𝒓𝒖𝒈-𝑭𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝑷𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒚, including its objectives, implementation procedures, and the responsibilities of all personnel. Emphasis was given to the protocols and actions to be taken in the event that any individual yields a positive result during drug testing. This ensured that all participants clearly understood the policies, consequences, and support mechanisms in place.

Following the orientation, a 𝑹𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒐𝒎 𝑫𝒓𝒖𝒈 𝑻𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 was conducted to reinforce the barangay’s commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace. The testing process was facilitated by 𝑴𝒔. 𝑱𝒐𝒏𝒂 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒂𝒏 𝑪𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒂ñ𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒔 𝑹𝑵. and with the witnessed of 𝑷𝑺𝑩 𝑷𝑵𝑷 𝑺𝒊𝒓 𝑱𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝑷𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒐 ensuring that proper procedures and confidentiality standards were strictly observed.

Ang regular nga pagpabakuna nagsiguro nga ang mga masuso ug kabataan makadawat sa angay nga bakuna sa hustong panahon. Kini nagpanalipod kanila batok sa mga delikadong sakit sama sa tigdas, polio, tuberculosis, diphtheria, ug uban pa—aron sila motubo nga lig-on ug himsog.

📢𝑲𝒂𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒏𝒈𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒏 𝒔𝒂 𝒎𝒈𝒂 𝑩𝒂𝒌𝒖𝒏𝒂:
Ang mga bakuna luwas, epektibo, ug importante kaayo. Kini nagpalig-on sa natural nga panalipod sa lawas, naglikay sa pagkatap sa mga sakit, ug nagpanalipod dili lamang sa indibidwal kundili sa tibuok komunidad. Pinaagi sa pagbakuna, mapakunhod nato ang risgo sa sakit, kapansanan, ug kamatayon.

💙 𝑨𝒕𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒅:
Isip mga ginikanan, tigbantay, ug miyembro sa komunidad, atong hiniusang katungdanan ang pagkompleto sa bakuna sa matag bata. Padayon ta sa pagsuporta sa atong mga programa sa panglawas ug siguruhon nga walay bata ang mabilin nga walay proteksyon.

🎤Barangay Liburon Health Center also conducted a seminar for parents on the importance of vaccination, emphasizing how vaccines protect children from serious diseases and help keep the community safe, resource speaker 𝑴𝒔. 𝑮𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒂 𝑨𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒉𝒂 𝑹𝑵.

On April 24, 2025, Barangay Liburon successfully conducted a Free Operation Tuli at the Barangay Liburon Gym, marking a meaningful initiative in promoting the health and well-being of the community. The activity provided an important medical service to residents, especially the youth, in a safe and organized setting.

This significant event was made possible through the collaboration with the City Health Office, led by Dr. Ma. Felmar M. Deza and Dr. Kyra Marj Tañagras, together with the dedicated team of nurses, midwives, HEPO Mrs. Lyra Rodriguez, Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), and Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS). Their commitment and teamwork ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the operation.
