🦟 DENGUE AWARENESS MONTH | JUNE 2026
🦟 A mosquito may be small, but its impact on public health is significant. As a carrier of dengue and other mosquito-borne diseases, it continues to threaten millions of lives worldwide. Through awareness, prevention, early testing, and timely medical care, we can help protect our families and communities from dengue.
The dengue-carrying mosquito, Aedes aegypti, thrives in clean, stagnant water commonly found in uncovered containers, flower pots, old tires, and water storage areas around homes. Even a small amount of standing water can become a breeding site.
🏠 Protect your family from dengue:
✔ Eliminate standing water around your home
✔ Cover water storage containers
✔ Keep your surroundings clean
✔ Use mosquito repellents and protective clothing
✔ Seek medical attention promptly if symptoms occur
⚠️ Early signs of dengue may include fever, headache, muscle and joint pain, skin rashes, nausea, vomiting, and fatigue.
