Yesterday, our Social Smarts visited 7-Eleven to purchase the ingredients they needed for their Spam French Toast cooking activity. ๐Ÿž๐Ÿฅ“

This community-based shopping experience gave them the opportunity to practice essential life skills, including following a shopping list, identifying ingredients, making choices, communicating with the cashier, handling money, waiting patiently, and building confidence in real-world situations.

Every step in the community is a valuable opportunity to learn, grow, and become more independent. ๐Ÿ’™
