AIRMEN, THE SKY ISNโT THE ONLY THING WE WATCHโTODAY, WE PROTECT OUR LUNGS.
Metro Cebuโs Air Quality Index (AQI) is now at 264 classified as โVery Unhealthy.โ At this level, everyone can start experiencing health effects, and students with asthma or respiratory conditions are at higher risk.
โ
WEAR A MASK PROPERLY
- Use an N95 or equivalent respirator when outdoors or in dusty areas. Ordinary cloth or surgical masks donโt filter fine haze particles well.
- Make sure it fits snugly over your nose and mouth with minimal gaps.
โ
LIMIT OUTDOOR EXERTION
- Avoid strenuous activities like running, sports, or extended outdoor training while AQI remains this high.
- If you must be outside, take frequent breaks indoors.
โ
STAY HYDRATED & MONITOR SYMPTOMS
- Drink water regularly.
- Watch for irritation in eyes, nose, or throat; coughing, wheezing, chest tightness, or unusual fatigue. If symptoms worsen, rest indoors and seek medical advice if needed.
โ
PROTECT YOUR SPACE
- Keep windows and doors closed when haze is thick.
- Reduce indoor pollution (no smoking, incense, or unnecessary burning)
๐ก๏ธ A true airman doesnโt just fly highโhe breathes smart.
Letโs take care of ourselves so we can keep serving, studying, and soaring.
