Most people view retirement as the day to enjoy the fruits of their labor from the empire they have built during their working years. If retirement is meant to enjoy your remaining years because you have spent it to sustain yourself and your loved ones, this is valid. Yes you deserve it. But there is more than retiring that is not tiring. It is to relive the life that you have dreamed of. It was once you have prayed for but not coming into reality because you are so tied up with your work. To relive is simply living your life to fulfill your heart's true desire. And when it is dovetailed to the will of God, it becomes a second life with pure purpose, meaning, and satisfaction.
Take for example, if you are a doctor.
All your life you have taken care of enormous numbers of sick people. Now at your retirement, you are old, frail, and sick. How will you enjoy it?
There's a big chance you'll spend your retirement funds to sustain and revive your health. Good if you have enough to avail the most expensive regenerative medicine available or it's not too late to cure your chronic conditions like cancers. So how will you enjoy your life knowing that your body is not cooperating, your health is declining, and the source of your happiness is pleasing the self and those extended to it.
The answer is simple. "RELIVE" your life in every moment. It is to have full awareness, grounded in wisdom and spiritual love. It is to live your life without retirement because every moment is precious in pleasing God. The food that you eat, the exercise you make, the choices you take, the people you are with, all these things are part of the conscious choices we make everyday to create the life we want in our old years.
So, relive your life no matter what. Don't wait for the future how it will look like when you can create the quality of life you deserve today. Retirement is for people who view life with expiration. Reliving is for people who view life full of amazing opportunities regardless of timelines.
Don't retire. RELIVE!
