SVGH celebrates Nutrition Month this July, with the theme: “𝑺𝒂 𝑷𝑷𝑨𝑵 𝑺𝒂𝒎𝒂-𝑺𝒂𝒎𝒂 𝒔𝒂 𝑵𝒖𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒕 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒂 𝒔𝒂 𝒍𝒂𝒉𝒂𝒕: 𝑵𝒖𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒚𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒕 𝑲𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒏, 𝑨𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒂𝒏”

The Nutrition and Dietetics Department spearheaded the activities, featuring health-focused games and fruit and vegetable giveaways for participants. These activities highlighted the importance of proper nutrition and its strong connection to caring for our health.

St. Vincent General Hospital celebrated Kidney Month with an impactful event dedicated to raising awareness about 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐊𝐢𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 (𝐂𝐊𝐃) and sharing vital steps for prevention.

We were honored to have the brilliant Dr. Carl Davin Tam, transplant surgeon lead the insightful and inspiring discussion. Dr. Tam shed light on essential best practices for maintaining optimal kidney health, and empowering our community with the knowledge needed to protect our health.

To show our appreciation to our dialysis patients, who have demonstrated immense strength and resilience, we shared with their delicious, kidney-friendly meals, and destributed special tokens to them. Their smiles and their stories reminded our staff why they do what they do.

Access That Matters

Cebu City Vice Mayor Tomas R. Osmeña praises the University of Cebu and St. Vincent General Hospital for advancing pro-poor policies,keeping education affordable and healthcare accessible despite rising economic pressures, including those linked to ongoing conflicts abroad.

Aligned with the direction set by Augusto W. Go, as chairman, for UC and SVGH, Osmeña likewise challenges other schools and hospitals to adopt similar approaches, ensuring that essential services remain within reach of more Filipinos.

Challenging institutions to adopt pro-poor policies, Cebu City Vice Mayor Tomas Osmeña called on schools and hospitals to follow the lead of the University of Cebu in maintaining accessible fees, stressing the need for more inclusive support for marginalized sectors.

Libre nga Konsulta sa atong mga doctors.
Libre nga Laboratory tests (sama sa CBC, X-ray, ECG, ug uban pa).
Libre nga Maintenance Medicines para sa hypertension, diabetes, ug uban pang sakit.
Ayaw na paabuta nga mobati pa og sakit una magpa-checkup. Siguroha ang maayong panglawas sa tibuok pamilya!
