This is Earthing, also called Grounding. Wellnessland calls it Vitamin "G".

Modern life has disconnected us from direct contact with the earth through rubber-soled shoes, concrete floors, and indoor living. But the earth carries a natural electrical charge, and when our skin touches it directly, that charge flows into the body, helping detoxify excess free radicals and restore natural balance.
