Latest WARNING from DOH: Diabetes is on the rise in the Philippines – and it's more dangerous than you think!
There are currently more than 4 million Filipinos with diabetes, and the number is still increasing by 8–10% every year. Even more worrying, nearly 50% do not know they have the disease until complications appear.
Diabetes is painless – but silently destroys the body, especially in people over 40 years old.
If not controlled promptly, the disease can lead to serious complications: Stroke & myocardial infarction Kidney failure - requiring dialysis, Blindness due to retinal damage, Nerve damage - numbness in limbs, Limb necrosis - may require amputation... and many other dangerous complications.
Every year, 273,000 people suffer from strokes due to diabetes. Mostly elderly women in the Philippines suffer from this disease, often spending millions of pesos on medication or insulin injections — but still no cure.
Currently, the DOH and the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) have issued an official notice and are guiding people on a new home treatment method that helps lower blood sugar to 4 - 5 mmol/l and clean blood vessels to prevent dangerous complications. This method has been proven to completely cure diabetes without relapse, and is affordable and easy to do at home.
