Lakas Isip 2026 Day 4: Transformative Power of Gratitude 💚🍫

The Mental Health Team, representatives from the Human Resources Department and Occupational Safety and Health Clinic had special hospital-wide roaming rounds sharing chocolates and special Lakas Isip stickers with employees as a heartfelt thank-you for their dedication and service.

The employees also took a moment to recognize and thank the people who make their workdays brighter whether it’s a colleague who lends a helping hand, a supervisor who offers support, or a teammate who makes even the busiest shift a little lighter.

TikTok Challenge, a flagship digital event of our National Mental Health Week 2026 celebration.

In healthcare, "strength" is often falsely defined as hiding weakness or enduring endless fatigue. Our hospital is changing that narrative through the movement. This campaign shifts mental wellness from an individual struggle into a sustained, hospital-wide movement for community resilience and mutual support.

This TikTok challenge tasked our various hospital divisions and departments with creating a 30-to-60-second vertical video showcasing how their specific teams build and protect mental strength in their day-to-day operations.

Daily Tools for Mindful Strength of DDH Healthcare Warriors

Day 2 of Mental Health Week 2026 brought wellness closer to where healthcare workers spend most of their day, their workstations, nursing stations, and departments.

Throughout the day, the DDH Mental Health & Psycho-Social Services Department, Human Resources Department, and Occupational Safety Health Clinic went around the hospital to distribute the Lakas Isip Toolkits, bringing simple but meaningful tools such as stress balls and Max Relax gadgets to employees.

In the middle of busy shifts and demanding responsibilities, these little tools served as reminders that even a brief moment of sensory reset can make a difference.

Day 2 was a simple reminder that mental health care does not always require a long break. Sometimes, it begins with something as simple as a pause, a breath, and a moment to care for oneself. 🌱

✨ LAKAS ISIP 2026: Real Voices. Real Strength. Real Change.

We officially launched Mental Health Week 2026 with a meaningful afternoon of learning, connection, and reflection centered on the importance of mental well-being in our hospital community.

Day 1 highlighted the DDH I.M. H.E.R.E. Mental Health First Responders Training, an important step toward strengthening a culture of mental health support within our hospital community.

Guided by our guest speaker, Ms. Ruth Marie D. Zosa, RPm, RPsy, participants engaged in meaningful learning sessions covering:

🧠 Psychological First Aid (PFA) Basics
💬 The Art of Validation
🤝 Boundary Setting
🧭 The Referral Pathway

More than simply gaining knowledge, the training strengthened our understanding of how we can become safe, supportive, and responsible first points of contact for our colleagues while recognizing the importance of appropriate referral when professional intervention is needed.
