📢 PUBLIC ADVISORY

Please be informed that the Ilocos Sur Provincial Hospital – Gabriela Silang Animal Bite Treatment Center (ISPH-GS ABTC) will observe half-day operations on July 22, 2026 (Wednesday).

🕗 Patients will be accommodated from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN ONLY.

This is pursuant to Executive Order No. 23, Series of 2026, issued by the Office of the Governor in observance of the 75th Anniversary of the Elevation of the Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia.

Regular operations will resume on the next working day.

For emergency cases, please proceed directly to the Emergency Room for immediate medical attention.

A simple bite or scratch can become serious if ignored. 🐾

If you've been bitten or scratched by an animal, don't wait. Wash the wound with soap and running water for 15 minutes, then visit the nearest Animal Bite Treatment Center for proper care.

Rabies is preventable. Early treatment can save lives. 💉❤️

🐾 Rabies Awareness Reminder 🐾

Hindi lamang a*o ang maaaring magdala ng rabies. Ang pusa, unggoy, baka, kambing, kabayo, at iba pang hayop ay maaari ring makahawa sa tao kapag nakakagat o nakalmot.

⚠️ Iwasan ang pakikisalamuha sa mga hayop na gala, ligaw, o hindi tiyak ang kalusugan.

💉 Kapag nakagat o nakalmot, agad hugasan ang sugat gamit lamang ang tubig at sabon at pumunta sa pinakamalapit na Animal Bite Treatment Center.

Labor Day well spent💉

Last May 1, 2026, the Animal Bite Treatment Center – Gabriela Silang team vaccinated 40 individuals against rabies at Chavit Coliseum, Tamag, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur. This activity was part of the Ilocos Sur Labor Day Festival and the ONE Ilocos Sur Health Caravan in celebration of the 124th Labor Day.

With the continued support and leadership of Governor Jerry Singson and Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Pocholo Baquiran, initiatives like this help bring essential healthcare closer to the community.
