Brielle, 2 years and 8 months, came in for her regular vaccine — and her mom shared that she also loves playing “doctor” at home. 🩺✨

Pretend play is very appropriate at this age. It helps toddlers build imagination, language, social skills, and confidence as they make sense of the world around them.

Vaccine visits are also a good opportunity to check not just protection, but also growth and development. 💛

Vhia came in for her annual flu vaccine—one simple step to help protect our children from influenza and its possible complications.

There’s still time to get your child vaccinated this rainy season. ✨

Cooper at 13 months💕

Cooper is walking independently, smiles, waves bye-bye, plays peekaboo, responds to his name, points to what he wants, and says words like “mama,” “dada,” “ball,” “oh-oh,” and “wow.”

Clinic visits are not only for vaccines — they are also an important time to monitor a child’s growth, development, communication, and social milestones.

Great job, Cooper! We are so proud of your progress.

Flu shot day for these cousins 💛

I’ve had the privilege of taking care of these kids through the years — watching them grow, develop, and reach new milestones.

For older children, the annual flu vaccine is also a good opportunity to do their yearly check-up: to review growth, nutrition, development, school health, and overall wellness.

Prevention is always part of good pediatric care. 🌿

Kai just turned 6 months old! 🌸

She is exclusively breastfed, growing well, and now ready to start solids.

During her check-up, we also looked at her development. Kai can sit with minimal support, has good head control, rolls both ways, smiles, laughs, babbles, responds to her name, recognizes familiar faces, grabs toys, and brings them to her mouth.

At Pedia Dagupan, we do holistic well-baby check-ups — monitoring growth, feeding, vaccines, and development at every visit.

Happy 6 months, Kai! 💛

Vhia, 2 years and 1 month old 💕

She came in for her vaccine—but more importantly, we checked her development too 👩‍⚕️✨

At this age, Vhia is already speaking in sentences, following simple commands, pointing to show interest, and following 1-step verbal commands without gestures 👀 She’s also walking and running well 🏃‍♀️

Every well-child visit is not just about vaccines—it’s also about developmental surveillance. This means regularly checking how your child is growing, learning, communicating, and moving at every visit 🧠💬

Because early detection = early intervention 💯

Don’t skip those check-ups 🤍

The way we speak to our children becomes their inner voice.

As a pediatrician and Montessori teacher, this is a reminder I always come back to: children don’t just listen to our words, they slowly absorb them.

Gentle words help build confidence. Calm responses help them feel safe. Connection helps them learn how to regulate.

Before we correct, we connect. 💚

“Teething lang yan, doc…”
— but what if it’s not?

Not all fevers, diarrhea, or lethargy are because of teething.
Sometimes, we miss something more serious when we assume too quickly.

If your baby looks unwell, trust your instinct.
Have them checked.

Because sometimes… it’s not just teething.
