IN PHOTOS | Region 1 Medical Center hosted the 4th CME/Surgical Mission of the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists of the Philippines Foundation, Inc. from June 19 to 21, 2026.

The three-day activity featured lectures on cervical, endometrial, and ovarian cancers, as well as fertility preservation in gynecologic malignancies. It also included a medical mission and surgical training activities aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals in the region.

The event reflects R1MC's continuing commitment to quality patient care, medical education, and women's health services.

The program was conducted in collaboration with the Philippine Society of Medical Specialists in Government, POGS Northwestern Luzon, and the Pangasinan Medical Society.

ICYMI | As part of efforts to assess the implementation of the Zero Balance Billing (ZBB) Program, the Department of Health (DOH) Health Promotion Bureau (HPB) – Communication Office (COM), together with the CHD-1 Health Promotion Unit, conducted a monitoring visit at Region 1 Medical Center (R1MC) on June 17.

During the visit, the team interviewed doctors, nurses, and patients. Materials gathered through the documentation of the activity will be utilized to further strengthen the DOH’s information dissemination campaign on the ZBB Program, helping increase public awareness of its benefits and impact.

This activity reflects the DOH’s continuing commitment, with the support of R1MC, to ensuring effective program implementation while promoting accessible and patient-centered healthcare services.

GAD CORNER | In celebration of National Cancer Survivor Day, a variety of meaningful activities were conducted to honor and support cancer survivors. The event featured fun carts offering fresh fruits and vegetables as giveaways to promote healthy living and proper nutrition. Inspirational messages and personal testimonies from cancer survivor patients were also shared, providing hope, encouragement, and motivation to fellow survivors, caregivers, and community members. Through these activities, the celebration highlighted the strength, resilience, and courage of cancer survivors while promoting awareness of the importance of cancer prevention, early detection, and supportive care.

The Region 1 Medical Center - National Voluntary Blood Services Program in collaboration with GAD-HCWP, celebrated World Blood Donor Day 2026 on June 14, 2026, carrying the message: “Magbigay ng Dugo, Magbigay ng Pag-asa, Sama-sama Tayong Magligtas ng Buhay!”

In partnership with Members Church of God International (MCGI) - Arellano, Big-C, and the Philippine Coast Guard 705th Auxiliary Squadron, this meaningful event was successfully conducted through the collective efforts and generosity of everyone involved.

Maraming uri ng childhood injuries - tulad ng pagkahulog, pagkalunod, pagkasunog, at mga aksidente sa kalsada at komunidad, ito ay maaaring maiwasan sa pamamagitan ng wastong pagbabantay, ligtas na kapaligiran, at tamang edukasyon ukol sa kaligtasan.
