As part of the Citywide Earthquake Drill Initiative of the City Government of Danao under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Ramon โNitoโ Durano III, the school actively participated in the conduct of the earthquake drill, reaffirming its commitment to promoting a culture of safety, preparedness, and resilience within the school community.
The activity underscored the significance of preparedness, discipline, and collective responsibility in ensuring safety during emergencies. Students, teaching personnel, and non-teaching staff actively participated by properly observing the prescribed earthquake response procedures, including Duck, Cover, and Hold, orderly evacuation, and accountability measures at the designated evacuation areas.
The drill also served as an important opportunity to assess the school's level of preparedness and strengthen its capacity to respond effectively during emergency situations.
The school extends its sincere appreciation to the Department Head of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), Sir Roland โJik Jikโ Reyes, together with the CDRRMO Officers; the Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Roseller N. Gelig; and the Disaster Risk Reduction Management Coordinator of the Schools Division, Sir Christopher L. Besin, for their presence, guidance, and valuable insights during the conduct of the activity. Their observations and recommendations contributed significantly to enhancing disaster preparedness awareness and emergency response readiness among all participants.
The school likewise expresses its heartfelt gratitude to School Principal II, Mrs. Marichel M. Gonzales, for her unwavering support and leadership in ensuring the successful implementation of the drill. Appreciation is also extended to all faculty members, staff, and learners whose cooperation and active participation contributed to the safe, orderly, and meaningful conduct of this activity.
