Turning Information into Action. Inspiring Resilience Through Creativity! ❤️📊

Today, we recognize and celebrate the creativity, teamwork, and dedication of our 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 who transformed important Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) information into powerful visual stories during the 𝓝𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵 𝓓𝓲𝓼𝓪𝓼𝓽𝓮𝓻 𝓡𝓮𝓼𝓲𝓵𝓲𝓮𝓷𝓬𝓮 𝓜𝓸𝓷𝓽𝓱 2026 celebration.

From the Slogan Making Contest, Poster Making Contest, Infographic Making Contest, and DRR Quiz Bee, students showcased not only their creativity and knowledge but also their commitment to promoting disaster preparedness and resilience.

It’s time to showcase your creativity, raise awareness, and become champions of disaster preparedness! Join us as we celebrate National Disaster Resilience Month 2026 Pursuant to Executive Order No. 29, observed every month of July through exciting activities that inspire resilience, responsibility, and community action.

📌 INFOGRAPHIC GUIDELINES
✅ All entries must be 100% original and created solely by the participants.
✅ Content must carry accurate, reliable, and relevant Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) information about National Disaster Resilience Month information and is connected to the theme.
✅ Infographics must be formatted in A4 size.
✅ Each Grade Level and Academic Strand shall be represented by two (2) representatives.
✅ 📅 Deadline of Submission: On or before July 31, 2026 (Friday).

On July 24, 2026, the students, faculty, and staff of Ramon M. Durano Sr. Foundation – Science and Technology Education Center (RMDSF-STEC) successfully conducted the SCHOOL LOCKDOWN DRILL, simulating an active threat scenario and reinforcing the Run, Hide, Fight emergency response protocol. The activity provided an opportunity for everyone to practice making timely and informed decisions while emphasizing the importance of remaining calm, alert, and cooperative during critical situations.

This initiative was made possible through the leadership and support of our School Principal II, Mrs. Marichel M. Gonzales, whose commitment to promoting a safe and disaster-resilient learning environment continues to strengthen the school’s culture of preparedness.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Philippine National Police – Danao City, headed by PLTCOL. Henrix P. Bancoleta, Chief of Police, and represented during the activity by PCAPT. Charisma Gonzales, Deputy Chief of Police. Serving as our observers and evaluators, they provided valuable feedback, professional assessment, and life-saving insights that further enhanced the effectiveness of the drill and our school’s emergency response capabilities.

Our sincere appreciation also goes to the Teachers’ DRRM Team and the Student DRRM Team for their dedication in planning, coordinating, monitoring, and ensuring the smooth implementation of the activity. Their teamwork and commitment were instrumental in making this exercise organized, meaningful, and successful in maintaining the safety of RMDSF-STEC community.

As part of the Citywide Earthquake Drill Initiative of the City Government of Danao under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Ramon “Nito” Durano III, the school actively participated in the conduct of the earthquake drill, reaffirming its commitment to promoting a culture of safety, preparedness, and resilience within the school community.

The activity underscored the significance of preparedness, discipline, and collective responsibility in ensuring safety during emergencies. Students, teaching personnel, and non-teaching staff actively participated by properly observing the prescribed earthquake response procedures, including Duck, Cover, and Hold, orderly evacuation, and accountability measures at the designated evacuation areas.

The drill also served as an important opportunity to assess the school's level of preparedness and strengthen its capacity to respond effectively during emergency situations.

The school extends its sincere appreciation to the Department Head of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), Sir Roland “Jik Jik” Reyes, together with the CDRRMO Officers; the Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Roseller N. Gelig; and the Disaster Risk Reduction Management Coordinator of the Schools Division, Sir Christopher L. Besin, for their presence, guidance, and valuable insights during the conduct of the activity. Their observations and recommendations contributed significantly to enhancing disaster preparedness awareness and emergency response readiness among all participants.

The school likewise expresses its heartfelt gratitude to School Principal II, Mrs. Marichel M. Gonzales, for her unwavering support and leadership in ensuring the successful implementation of the drill.
