HIV treatment can help people living with HIV achieve an undetectable viral load - meaning they do not transmit HIV to their sexual partners. People with a suppressed viral load have a near-zero risk of transmitting HIV.

In 2025, 30.4 million people living with HIV globally have a suppressed viral load. The target? 38 million by 2030.

The Bicol Regional Hospital and Medical Center Expanded Service on Sexual Health (BESH) Hub welcomed the team from the Department of Health Bicol Center for Health Development, U.S. Department of Defense - PEPFAR, Philippine Navy, and partner HIV/AIDS Treatment Hubs for a courtesy visit and coordination meeting in preparation for the upcoming HIV 101 Awareness Activity at Naval Forces Southern Luzon.

The visit provided an opportunity to strengthen collaboration, align strategies, and foster stronger partnerships in advancing HIV awareness, prevention, testing, and treatment services in the community.

Together, we continue to work towards a healthier and more informed Bicolano community.

𝗛𝗜𝗩: 𝗔𝗻𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗼? | Isturyahang HealthTEA ng BRHMC EP. 3

Sa pagtatapos ng HIV Awareness Month, samahan kami sa isang makabuluhang talakayan tungkol sa HIV—isang usaping patuloy na nangangailangan ng tamang kaalaman, pag-unawa, at pagkilos.

Alamin ang mahahalagang impormasyon tungkol sa HIV, kabilang ang mga paraan ng transmission, pag-iwas, kahalagahan ng maagang pagpapasuri, at totoong mga detalye tungkol sa HIV. Tatalakayin din ang mga maling paniniwala tungkol sa HIV upang makatulong sa pagbawas ng stigma at diskriminasyon.

Makakasama natin sa ikalawang episode ng Isturyahang HealthTEA si Dr. Axel Briz bilang host at si Dr. Anna Lynda T. Bellen, CMPS at Infectious Disease Specialist ng BRHMC, upang magbahagi ng mahahalagang kaalaman at sagutin ang ilan sa mga karaniwang katanungan tungkol sa HIV.
