Psyche Solution Psychological Services (PSPS) is established to develop and nurture individual abilities through psychological programs and interventions. Our services include psychotherapy/counseling, testing and assessment, training and development, as well as, psychology training and review program. The company envisions being the forefront in serving the needs of every individual, institution

or organization seeking psychological assistances and wellness. We respond to these needs with the aim to develop human potentials, thus, to positively transform our community. PSPS started in 2004 as a community-oriented group with a commitment to help the youth under varying difficult circumstances through summer camping, gift giving, and feeding programs. However, in 2007, we identified the necessity to grow –to extend our help to larger and diverse groups, and even create more meaningful activities and services for them. To date, our group has served different individuals, schools, institutions, and government agencies from Metro Manila, Cavite, Rizal, Bulacan, Zambales, Laguna, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Sorsogon, and Palawan to as far as Cebu. The PSPS team is composed of registered psychometricians, guidance counselors and psychologists (specializing in educational, industrial, community and clinical settings) who have been undergoing extensive professional trainings and experiences to assure/provide quality services amongst people.

The recent su***de attempt at a private school in Cavite is another wakeup call. We must act immediately to establish an effective crisis team. Before the next tragedy strikes, our guidance counselors and mental health professionals must be fully prepared.

Establishing a comprehensive school mental health and crisis management program is crucial. Training personnel with Psychological First Aid (PFA) and creating a team ensures the school environment can quickly and compassionately intervene, potentially saving lives and mitigating trauma after a critical incident.

A school crisis team should be a multidisciplinary unit designed to manage emergencies, provide short-term support, and execute safe referral procedures.

The team should be led by the trained guidance counselors and/or psychologists supported by school nurses/physicians, school administrators, and trained teachers.

Their duties include conducting immediate threat assessments, providing PFA, communicating with parents, and safely referring the student to other professionals.

Psychological First Aid is an evidence-informed modular approach used to help children, adolescents, and adults in the immediate aftermath of a disaster. It prioritizes humane, supportive, and practical assistance.

Mabigat ang pasan ng mga guidance counselors. Sila ang takbuhan, tagahubog, tagapatnubay, at tagasalo ng mga suliraning hindi na kayang hawakan ng mga g**o o mga magulang.

Subalit sa likod ng dambuhalang tungkuling ito, patuloy na naitatabi at kinukuwestiyon ang kanilang halaga. Madalas silang bansagang "tagapakinig lamang" at itinuturing na palamuti o supporting role lamang sa loob ng paaralan.Dahil nakakulong sa mga lumang sistema, marami sa kanilang mga programa ang nawalan na ng bisa—paulit-ulit, walang inobasyon, at salat sa siyentipikong basehan.

Panahon na upang basagin ang ganitong takbo. Kailangang maramdaman ng mga mag-aaral ang tunay at makabagong presensya ng mga counselor, hindi lang bilang mga taga-dokumento ng problema, kundi bilang mga totoong ahente ng pagbabago sa kanilang buhay.

Two decades of healing, growth, and development. What began in 2004 as a dedicated effort to support children in crisis evolved into something much larger. In 2007, we launched Psyche Solution Psychological Services to scale our mission and deliver comprehensive mental health support. Every lesson learned along this journey has elevated the quality of care we provide.

A supportive environment isn’t just a counseling room where problems are discussed.

A supportive environment is a place where you are simply allowed to be.

It builds a judgment-free atmosphere.

It allows authentic conversations without the fear of being criticized.

It cultivates self-awareness.

This marks one of my final engagements as a Lasallian faculty member and counselor: conducting community-based research to design an Integrated Community Development Program.

I am very proud to collaborate with some of the university's most brilliant, seasoned researchers, and I am grateful for this assignment.

Our project in Aleosan, North Cotabato, also granted me the great privilege of connecting with the Lumad-Manobo tribe. While this was outside our scope of work, Mayor Vicente Sorupia Jr. and Sir Chris of the Tourism Office sensed my passion for grassroots community work—especially for the least, the last, and the lost. I am deeply grateful to them for exposing and helping us immersed in their community.

Recently, it has broken my heart to learn that several friends and colleagues are struggling with mental health and wellness issues, with limited access to a healing space. Opening our doors, our clinic, to support them has been a deeply humbling experience.

I once thought my journey as a Lasallian educator was complete. Yet, serving them reminds me of the Lasallian's true mission: teaching minds, touching hearts, and transforming lives.

Special thanks to Sir Gidz Legaspi and Mam Ana Panganiban Arciaga, my partners in the two researches and Maj. Joel Alejo Nanlabi and his wife of the Salvation army.
