Wrap-up of our 2-day trip to the City of Golden Friendship, Cagayan de Oro.
Day 1- We conducted an orientation at our partner tech-voc institution, COBSAT, for the students of welding and automotive. This time, not only welding and automotive trainees attended the orientation, but also students from the hospitality servicing program. It was perfect timing, as their cookery assessment was ongoing, and we were able to try the clubhouse meals they prepared.
We were also honored to conduct a courtesy visit with the Honorable Mayor Rolando 'Klarex' Uy. Despite his busy schedule, he warmly accommodated us, allowing us to present Kenji Min Japanese Training Center and our mission to provide greater opportunities for the youth of Cagayan de Oro through Japanese language education.
Day 2- another orientation was held at our partner university, University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines, for their graduating Autotronics students, joined by Manufacturing students where they showcased their skills in SMAW, FCAW, MIG, and TIG welding.
As always, we are grateful to our partners and contact persons for their unwavering support in our mission of providing opportunities to Filipinos through studying the Japanese language.
