EYE FATIGUE, also called EYE STRAIN
or asthenopia, is a common condition where your eyes feel tired, sore, or heavy because the muscles inside and around them work too hard.
It often happens after long times spent reading, driving, or looking at a digital screen.
Common SignsTired or sore eyes:
Your eyes may feel heavy, burn, or itch.Blurry vision: You may have trouble seeing clearly or focusing on things.
Headaches: Pain can happen around your eyes and forehead.Light sensitivity: Bright lights might bother you more than usual.
Main Causes Screen time:
Staring at phones, tablets, or computers for hours without a break.
Less blinking: People blink much less when looking at screens, which dries out the eyes.
Bad lighting: Reading or working in a room that is too dark or has a bright glare.
Tiredness: Not getting enough sleep or feeling stressed.
EASY WAY TO FEEL BETTER:
Rest your eyes: Look away from your screen every 20 minutes and focus on something 20 feet away for 20 seconds.
Blink more: Try to blink often to keep your eyes wet.
Change the light: Turn on more lights or lower the brightness on your phone or computer.
