𝖨𝗍’𝗌 𝖽𝖾𝖿𝗂𝗇𝗂𝗍𝖾𝗅𝗒 𝖿𝗅𝗎 𝗌𝖾𝖺𝗌𝗈𝗇 𝗅𝖺𝗍𝖾𝗅𝗒 —so many sick kids being seen in clinic these past few days. I’ve experienced it firsthand with my own children too.

One child only had a single episode of low-grade fever, then just the usual cough and colds afterward. Despite being sick, they remained playful, active, and continued eating well. 𝙄 𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙡𝙮 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙮 𝙁𝙇𝙐 𝙫𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙖 𝙗𝙞𝙜 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙨𝙮𝙢𝙥𝙩𝙤𝙢𝙨.

𝖠 𝗀𝖾𝗇𝗍𝗅𝖾 𝗋𝖾𝗆𝗂𝗇𝖽𝖾𝗋 𝗍𝗈 𝗉𝖺𝗋𝖾𝗇𝗍𝗌: always monitor your children closely at home, know when to seek medical care, and most importantly, keep them vaccinated and updated with their shots. 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙜𝙤 𝙖 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙖𝙮.

Rotavirus vaccine is currently available only in private pediatric clinics. While we do our best to keep our children’s environment clean and sanitized, protection against rotavirus requires vaccination.

I have seen severe cases of dehydration in children who were not vaccinated—something we can help prevent.

I agree with Doc K, and I truly appreciate proactive parents who take the time to consult before a trip—just to make sure their child and medications are all set. Safe travel starts with preparation. ✈️

L had episodes of vomiting and loose stools while we were visiting DisneySea. I immediately brought him to their clinic, but the frustration I felt upon learning that they had no medications, no first aid, and no physician on duty was truly heartbreaking.

Maayo na lang, this mama is a walking pharmacy 😅 I had ORS and medications for vomiting and loose stools on hand..just in case something like this will happen.

Please, if you’re planning to travel, take time to VISIT your pediatrician beforehand. It’s always best to be guided on what medications to bring for an emergency like this.

PANGANIB NG TIGDAS SA MINDANAO

Nagbabala ang Department of Health (DOH) sa panganib na magkaroon ng tigdas at tigdas-hangin outbreak sa Mindanao.

Higit 520,000 bata pa kasi na wala pang limang taong gulang ang hindi pa rin bakunado kontra rito.

Sa huling tala ng DOH, nasa 2.3 milyon o 82% pa lamang ng target ang nabakunahan sa mga temporary at fixed site na itinalaga ng mga LGU.

Ayon sa mga eksperto, kailangang maabot ang 95% na target sa buong Mindanao kasama na ang BARMM para makamit ang “herd immunity” o mawala ang panganib ng outbreak ng sakit.
