Marami ang nagtatanong kung may iisang gamot ba para “gumaling” ang kidneys.

Ang totoo, walang iisang o direktang gamot para sa chronic kidney disease (CKD). Kaya kadalasan, maraming gamot ang iniinom ng mga pasyente.

Bakit? Dahil ang goal ng paggamot ay kontrolin ang mga cause at pabagalin ang paglala ng sakit sa kidneys. Kabilang dito ang:
• Pagkontrol ng high blood pressure (hypertension)
• Mahigpit na pagkontrol ng diabetes
• Pamamahala ng cholesterol, anemia, at iba pang komplikasyon ng CKD kung kinakailangan

Mas maagang makontrol ang blood pressure at blood sugar, mas malaki ang tsansang mapabagal ang paglala ng CKD at mapanatili ang kidney function.

Tandaan: Hindi lahat ng gamot ay angkop sa bawat pasyente. Kumonsulta sa inyong doktor bago magsimula, huminto, o magpalit ng anumang gamot.
