Sharing this photo of two of my patients who have grown up right before my eyes. Ekiel was only 5 years old when he had his first consultation at the clinic, and now he’s already 14. His sister, Aiah, first came to me when she was just 6 months old, and now she’s 8. 🥹

It feels incredibly special to have been part of their milestones for all these years. I feel so blessed to have been given the privilege of caring for them for so many years.

So, thank you, Ekiel and Aiah.

The hepatitis B birth dose vaccination should be given to newborns as soon as possible after birth, ideally within 24 hours, followed by completion of the full vaccine series.

The Western Pacific Region has made strong progress on Hepatitis B birth-dose vaccination. Now countries must sustain and expand this progress, so every newborn is protected, everywhere.
