𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 𝐏𝐓 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔: 𝐃𝐃𝐂 𝐁𝐒𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲

DDC BS Physical Therapy interns and faculty participated in the World Physical Therapy Day 2026 celebration on September 8 at Barangay Tibungco, Davao City, organized by the Philippine Physical Therapy Association – Southern Mindanao Chapter.

This year’s celebration focused on stroke and cardiovascular disease prevention, highlighting the role of physical therapists in promoting health, physical activity, and disease prevention within the community.

Meanwhile, other DDC BSPT interns celebrated World PT Day through activities in their respective deployment centers, extending the celebration beyond a single venue and into the communities they serve.

The first battle has been fought, and the Cosmic Vipers have struck with venom, precision, and celestial force.

With every play, every point, and every moment on the court, we have etched our name among the stars, marking a triumphant beginning to our journey.

Congratulations to our Cosmic Vipers Basketball Men on securing the 1st Elimination Round victory, securing a 52 standing against the Ethereal Vipers!

The cosmos has witnessed the first strike and the sovereign of the stars has made its mark.

Today, the BS Physical Therapy community pauses to celebrate the person who leads our program with excellence, purpose, and heart: Febie S. Villanueva, PTRP, CSRS, and our current PT Program Chair.

Her dedication to shaping competent and compassionate Physical Therapists goes beyond the classroom. She leads not just with knowledge but with genuine care for every student under her guidance. The BSPT program stands where it does today because of the kind of leadership she brings every single day.
