A lot of things could be learned from this video.

But for me, ang pinakamalaking lesson ay….
MGA KABABAYAN, ang may ari ng Efficascent oil—-nagpagamot, nagpaopera, naniwala sa siensya—-Hindi nag ‘haplas haplas’ lang!!! 😬🙂🙊👻
tayo pa kaya? 🤓

Dahil hindi ‘haplas’ ang ‘nakakatunaw’ ng cancer.
But rather surgery, and medicines (and etc) according to evidence-based studies—like in her case —>
1) Ribociclib- a CDK 4/6 inhibitor and
2) Letrozole, an aromatase inhibitor—- parehong tinatake orally in the form of tablets.
Isa lamang ito sa mga nakatulong sa pagkawala ng cancer sa kanyang katawan.
At tanging specialista lamang ang maaaring makapagsuggest ng ganitong treatment.

If you watched this, it was mentioned that her family has a history of breast cancer.

Screening mammogram starts at 40 years old. Ibig sabihin ng ‘screening’ ay magpacheck up kahit walang nararamdaman at walang nakakapang bukol.

‘Diagnostic’ Mammogram naman ang tawag sa may sintomas na bago nagpamammogram.

Kung may family history kayo ng breast cancer or even any other cancer, especially first degree relative, the recommendation according to American Cancer Society is to be screened 10 years earlier dun sa age ng inyong pinakabatang kamag-anak na nagka cancer, or if 40 years old na kayo (whichever comes first)

In the case of Ms Kaye, she was diagnosed at around 42-43 years old, ni hindi pa natin sigurado kung kailan talaga nagsimula yung bukol sa breast kasi 5 cm na nung nadiagnose ito,
meaning yung first degree relatives nya ay dapat magpascreen at around 30 years old.

Also, hindi pa po nagtatapos ang cancer journey ni Ms Kaye. She is required to be closely monitored in the first 5 years ( then once a year na) after her treatment—which we call surveillance.

Maraming salamat sa iyong vlog at marami kang naiinspire na kababaihan na magpacheck up at maging matatag ❤️🙏

Meet one of my favorite patients—

Mrs G- A 49 year old Stage III- B Triple Negative Breast Cancer patient who was so anxious, hesitant and scared during her first consultation in the clinic.

But now, she just graduated from all her major treatments with FLYING COLORS, A Valedictorian at that 😄:

1) S/P Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy (AC-T Regimen) x 8 cycles (with a very favorable response)
2) S/P Modified Radical Mastectomy Left with Latissimus Dorsi Myocutaneous Flap Reconstruction (with excellent oncoplastic outcome)
3) S/P Adjuvant Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy x 28 fractions (with minimal side effects)

A few quick facts you might not know:

🍑 Colorectal cancer is the 3rd most common cancer worldwide!
🔍 Screening can actually prevent cancer by removing polyps before they turn into something serious.
📈 When caught early, survival rates are over 90%.
🤫 The tricky part? Early colorectal cancer often has no symptoms.

Translation: feeling fine doesn’t always mean everything is fine.

So if you’re 45 and above, have a family history, or have symptoms like blood in the stool, persistent abdominal pain, or unexplained weight loss, it might be time to get checked.

Yes, colonoscopies aren’t exactly anyone’s idea of a fun day…
…but trust me — it’s much better than seeing me in the operating room. 😅
