A Consultative Meeting and Updates on increasing notified Tuberculosis cases and strengthening TB Preventive Treatment (TPT), in the Municipality of Diadi. The activity aimed to enhance the participation and commitment of Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), HRH personnel, and RHU staff in the continuous fight to end Tuberculosis in the community.

The program formally started with an opening prayer led by Ms. Marites B. Bello, followed by the opening remarks of Dr. Maria Cristina L. Munar, Municipal Health Officer. In her message, Dr. Munar emphasized the importance of the consultative meeting, highlighting the vital role of BHWs and health workers in active case finding, patient monitoring, and strengthening community awareness to increase notified TB cases and improve TB preventive treatment coverage in the municipality.

Following the opening remarks, Ms. Rachelle Ann B. Balut, Public Health Nurse, presented the current TB case status of the Municipality of Diadi. She discussed the latest updates, accomplishments, challenges, and strategies in TB case notification and management. The presentation also encouraged the participants to intensify case detection efforts and strengthen collaboration within the community to help achieve the goal of ending Tuberculosis.

The highlight of the activity was the lecture conducted by Sir Randy F. Valdez, RMT regarding Drug-Susceptible Tuberculosis (DSTB) and TB Preventive Treatment (TPT). He provided comprehensive discussions on proper TB management, prevention strategies, treatment adherence, and the importance of preventive therapy among eligible individuals. The lecture further enhanced the knowledge and understanding of the participants regarding TB control and prevention.

The program was smoothly facilitated by the Master of Ceremony, Nurse Celyn B. Cabbigat.
The activity concluded with the closing remarks delivered by Ma’am Rhoda D. Sapo, Midwife III, who expressed her gratitude to all participants and encouraged everyone to continue supporting the municipality’s initiatives in combating Tuberculosis and promoting healthier communities.
