Here are a few rainy season reminders:
💧 Keep your skin clean and dry.

🧦 Wear breathable clothing and footwear.

Raised scar that won’t stop growing? It could be a KELOID.

A keloid is a type of scar that grows beyond the original wound. Unlike a normal scar, it continues to grow even after the skin has healed. Keloids may develop after acne, ear piercing, surgery, burns, cuts, vaccinations, or even minor skin injuries.

Common symptoms include:
• Raised, thick, firm scar
• Pink, red, brown, or darker than the surrounding skin
• Itching, tenderness, or pain
• Gradual enlargement over time

Allergic Contact Dermatitis: More Than Just a Rash

Redness, itching, swelling, blisters, and scaling- these are common signs of allergic contact dermatitis. This skin reaction occurs when your immune system responds to a substance you're allergic to. Common triggers include metals (such as nickel), fragrances, cosmetics, topical medications, rubber, and certain plants.

What are Common Warts (Verruca Plana)?

Verruca plana (flat warts) are small, smooth, flat-topped skin growths caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), most commonly affecting the face, backs of the hands, and legs. They are especially common in children and young adults and often appear in clusters because they can spread through scratching or shaving.

Although harmless, flat warts may persist or increase in number. A board-certified dermatologist can provide an accurate diagnosis and recommend the most appropriate treatment.
