I feel truly grateful and humbled to have been given the opportunity to serve as a resource speaker in the first ever Post Graduate Course organized by my Alma Matter - JRRMMC.
It is both an honor and a privilege to share knowledge and experiences with fellow ophthalmologists and trainees who are committed to advancing patient care and lifelong learning. Teaching has always been one of the most rewarding aspects of our profession, and I am thankful for the trust and confidence placed in me to contribute to the education of future specialists, particularly navigating the diverse landscapes of Ophthalmology practice in the Philippines.
My sincere appreciation to the organizers and participants for making this experience meaningful and enriching. Opportunities like this remind me that learning is a continuous journey, one that becomes even more fulfilling when shared with others.
I ended my lecture with a quote that has transformed my character and my professional growth over the years.
The goal is to always go beyond 20/20 vision, it's something more meaningful than that -
"A good Ophthalmologist restores Sight.
A Great Ophthalmologist restores Hope."
- Dr. Lorenzo N. Vera Cruz, Jr MD, DPBO
