But there is also a quieter kind of freedom—one found in a child’s first words, in being able to express a thought, share a feeling, ask for help, or simply be understood.

This Independence Day, we reflect not only on the freedoms won by those who came before us, but also on the opportunities we create for one another every day. The opportunity to learn, to grow, to connect, and to belong.
