OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON
MCC RESCUE TEAM UNIFORM POLICY
It reached to the attention of the members and officers of MCC β Rescue Team that some terminated members and alumni members casually gave or allowed any old MCC RT SHIRT to be given, or worn by non-members. The MCC - Rescue Team is a duly registered and recognized school organization of Mount Carmel College of Escalante, Inc. As such, MCC β Rescue Team maintains standards on the use of official team UNIFORM and identification.
Under the MCC β Rescue Team Constitution and By-Laws ARTICLE XVIII (OFFICIAL UNIFORM) Section 2. βUnder no circumstances that any member of the organization will wear the shirt during an ordinary or casual occasion/day. And Section 3. βUnder no circumstances that any of the MCC β RT Shirt will be used by any non-member or resigned member publicly. The uniform must be treated with respect as it represents the organization.
Furthermore, members of MCC β Rescue Team Alumni Association are all entitled to use any of the shirt associated with the organization, provided that they will adhere to the fair use of the shirt and what it represents.
Given the context above, the use of MCC - Rescue Team shirts and all associated insignia is restricted to active, registered members and official members of the MCC β RT Alumni Association only. Authorized uniforms are intended to signify official affiliation, training, and authority when interacting with incident command, partner agencies, and the public.
Hence, the public is advised to verify first if the person wearing any of our shirt bearing the name of the organization, its logo and the logo of the school is a legitimate member of the team before asking for any pre-hospital/First Aid assistance. Furthermore, we also encourage the public to check the surname indicated at the shirt for identification purposes.
Non-members are not permitted to wear MCC Rescue Team shirts or other items bearing MCC - RT insignia, unless explicitly authorized in writing by MCC β Rescue Team Executive Officer for specific official events or functions. Wearing official team apparel without MCC - RT membership and authorization may cause public confusion regarding representation, role, and liability, and therefore is prohibited.
This policy applies at all times β during training, operations, public events, and in everyday contexts β except where MCC β Rescue Team as an organization provides special authorization in advance. MCC β Rescue Team as an organization, will DO ALL in its POWER to protect its Integrity and name from misinformation, false claims and misrepresentations.
