Today, Sunday, I relaxed with the bed weather by reading about FASCISM the entire day.
These are my take aways:
✅ FASCISM and DEMOCRACY - these are two political systems with ideologies and philosophies that are polar opposites. In fascism, the power is vested in a dictator who forcibly exerts control and violently suppresses opposition and criticism.
✅ Whereas in democracy, the power is vested in the majority but the minority is still respected and is given fair representation.
✅Many people think that fascism and democracy are exclusively political in nature, when in fact, they transcend politics and can manifest in everyday life - be it in schools (group of classmates or batchmates) ,workplaces, or even at homes.
✅While it is true that both of them have their own advantages and disadvantages, it is very clear that one is more progressive, justifiable, and humane than the other.
✅Now that people are more enlightened and empowered, they are no longer fazed and silenced by discrimination and harassment.
✅The MINORITIES are NOT mere outcasts who retaliate just for the sake of defying, resisting, or even toppling the authorities. Most of the time, they are advocates of the rights and dignities of those who are marginalized and underrepresented.
✅The minorities firmly fight and boldly stand up for the causes that they believe in, even in the face of popular disagreement. And that definitely is a hundred times BETTER than staying neutral.
