COMMUNITY-BASED WOUND CARE WORKSHOP 🤝

March 11, 2026 | The Department of Surgery, through the Division of Burn, Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery, conducted a community-based wound care workshop for barangay health workers and members of the LGU health team in Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija. The activity aimed to enhance their knowledge and competencies in the identification, prevention, and management of various types of wounds.

The session highlighted the T.I.M.E. framework—Tissue debridement, Infection control, Moisture balance, and wound Edge advancement—as a comprehensive approach to effective wound management. Participants were also trained in proper basic and advanced wound care techniques, equipping them with practical skills to improve community-level wound care and promote better patient outcomes.

T.I.M.E. CONCEPT IN PRESSURE INJURIES ⏳

November 19, 2025 | The Department of Surgery, through the Division of Burn, Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery, conducted a productive lecture for DRPJGMRMC employees aimed at enhancing their knowledge and competency in the identification, prevention, and management of pressure ulcers.

August 8–9, 2025 | The Department of Surgery, Division of Burn, Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery, attended the Philippine Association of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgeons (PAPRAS) Annual Convention held at Hilton, Manila, Philippines.

The event further enhanced the surgical skills of consultants, fellows-in-training, and residents, provided updates on the latest scientific innovations, and fostered connections with colleagues across the country.

July 12, 2025 | The Department of Surgery, division of Burn, Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, in collaboration with DRPJGMRMC BURN ICU organized a Team Building Activity at Butterfly Haven resort, Pulilan Bulacan.

The event was a success, further enhancing Doctors, Nurses, Staffs collaboration, trust, morale, motivation and align everyone towards a common goal.
