The visit included a formal dialogue with the Local Chief Executive (LCE) and participation in the Municipal Nutrition Committee (MNC) Meeting, where the team and the LGU conducted a comprehensive review of the gaps identified through the HCSC and recognized the LGUโs notable good practices.
The mission further involved community-level consultations with the Barangay Captain and the Barangay Nutrition Committee (BNC) to obtain deeper insights into operational challenges, service delivery gaps, and exemplary initiatives at the barangay level.
As part of the supervision activities, the team also conducted a meeting with the Primary Care Facility staff to discuss service delivery performance, implementation concerns, and opportunities for improvement to enhance the quality of services provided. This was complemented by on-site assessments at PCF Gamay and the birthing station in Brgy. Bangon to evaluate facility readiness and adherence to health and nutrition standards.
The successful conduct of the activity underscores the strong commitment, productive engagements and meaningful collaboration of LGU Gamay to advance health and nutrition governance, strengthen service delivery systems, and continuously uphold best practices for the benefit of the community.
