Earlier this year, I had the privilege of serving as Guest Speaker during the ILPI Women's Day Celebration, "Care, Connect, & Empower: A Women's Mental Health Movement," held at the ILPI Pala-o Office, Consuelo-Candelario Hall, Iligan City.
During the session, we discussed "Sustaining Yourself While Meeting Life's Demands," exploring practical ways to care for one's mental health while balancing personal, family, and professional responsibilities.
Mental health conversations become even more meaningful when they are held in spaces that encourage support, connection, and empowerment. As professionals, caregivers, and individuals navigating life's many responsibilities, we often focus on meeting demands while overlooking our own well-being. Meaningful conversations such as these remind us that caring for ourselves is not a luxury but an important part of sustaining our ability to care for others.
I am grateful to ILPI for the opportunity to contribute to this celebration and to all the participants for their openness, engagement, and thoughtful reflections throughout the session.
Thank you as well for the warm welcome and recognition. It was a pleasure sharing this learning experience with such an inspiring group of women.
