In celebration of National Lung Month, the 6th Floor Station B of Asia Pacific Medical Center Iloilo โ€“ Nursing Service Division Professional Development Program successfully conducted an educational session on Bronchial Asthma entitled "Air We Share, Protect our Lungs Together" on August 7, 2026.

The activity featured Dr. Jovie Rose Camacho Ravena as the keynote speaker, who shared valuable insights on asthma awareness, prevention, recognition, and proper managementโ€”strengthening our healthcare teamโ€™s knowledge and commitment to quality respiratory care.

The activity was facilitated by the 6B/5B Unit, with the support and guidance of Head Nurse ,Kim Lyka Layson

The Nursing Service Division of Asia Pacific Medical Center โ€“ Iloilo successfully conducted its Professional Development Program on Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD) on July 31, 2026, at the 9th Floor Auditorium.

The educational session featured Dr. Jade Cortez Akhunzadah, MD, FPPS, who shared valuable insights on the early recognition, clinical management, prevention, and infection control measures for HFMD. The activity enhanced the knowledge and preparedness of healthcare professionals in delivering safe, evidence-based care while strengthening infection prevention practices within the hospital.

The program was facilitated by the 6A Unit, under the leadership of Unit Head Nurse Kareen Beltran, RN, and Unit Supervisor Kingtson Koh, RN. Their dedication contributed to the successful conduct of the activity.

The Nursing Service Division remains committed to promoting continuous professional development and advancing clinical excellence through educational initiatives that empower healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
