WVMC SUPPLIERS FORUM 2026 🤝

The Western Visayas Medical Center (WVMC), through its Procurement Section, successfully conducted the WVMC Suppliers Forum 2026 on October 16, 2026.

The forum served as a platform for meaningful discussions, knowledge-sharing, and open communication between WVMC and its suppliers, promoting a better understanding of government procurement processes, supplier responsibilities, and opportunities for active participation.

The Western Visayas Medical Center (WVMC) proudly receives a Certificate of Recognition from the Philippine Orthopedic Center in recognition of its Outstanding Commitment to Excellence in Hospital Compliance.

This recognition highlights WVMC’s achievement of a 77.78% certification rate, with 7 out of 9 nurse participants successfully completing the DOH–Nurse Certification Program in Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Nursing.

This milestone reflects the dedication of our nursing professionals to continuous learning, professional development, and the delivery of quality, safe, and compassionate patient care.

💜🎨 O.N.E. CANVAS FOR JUAN 🎨💜

In celebration of National Epilepsy Awareness Week, the Department of Neurosciences of the Western Visayas Medical Center (WVMC), in partnership with the Public Health Unit (PHU) and the Philippine League Against Epilepsy (PLAE), proudly presents O.N.E. Canvas for Juan — an art workshop dedicated to Persons with Epilepsy (PWE).

Through abstract painting and creative self-expression, we aim to provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive space where participants can express their thoughts, emotions, and experiences beyond words. Every stroke tells a story, every color reflects an emotion, and every canvas celebrates the individuality, strength, and creativity of persons living with epilepsy.

Let us paint a world where understanding replaces stigma, compassion fosters acceptance, and every person is empowered to shine.

Check. Detect. Protect.
Because Those Who Care Deserve to Be Cared For, Too.

Every day, WVMC employees care for others—often putting the needs of patients first. But who reminds them to care for themselves?

On October 9, 2026, at Punta Villa Resort, Arevalo, Iloilo City, Check. Detect. Protect: Employee Screening Awareness for a Healthier WVMC brought employees closer to making their own health a priority.

Facilitated by the Public Health Unit and Employees Clinic, in partnership with the Combined Endoscopy Unit, HIV/AIDS Core Team, and Public-Private Mix DOTS, the activity strengthened awareness of available screening services, the importance of early detection, and where to seek preventive care.

More than raising awareness, it encouraged a shift from waiting for illness to taking proactive steps toward better health.

Because those who dedicate their lives to caring for others deserve to live healthier lives, too. A healthier WVMC begins with us.
