Today, May 28, 2026, Western Visayas Medical Center โ€“ HIV/AIDS Core Team, together with its partner AIDS Healthcare Foundation Philippines, conducted a Menstrual Hygiene Day celebration in collaboration with HIV awareness activities for all women accessing services at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Outpatient Department of Western Visayas Medical Center.

The activity aimed to educate and promote among women the importance of proper menstrual hygiene, as well as HIV awareness and prevention. The program also encouraged health empowerment, stigma reduction, and the promotion of safer and healthier communities for all.

HACT WVMC proudly contributed by providing free HIV screening, testing, and educationโ€”reinforcing that HIV awareness does not remain within hospital walls, but extends to communities, especially in far-flung areas.

Through the collective efforts of the Rotary and Rotaract Clubs of Iloilo City, a comprehensive range of services was deliveredโ€”including medical, optical, mental health, HIV, TB screening, and dermatological consultationsโ€”ensuring holistic and accessible care.

As part of our shared mission to bring quality healthcare services and HIV awareness closer to communities, Project RX 2.0 successfully reached 471 individuals in Brgy. East Valencia, Buenavista, Guimaras last March 22, 2026.

This initiative reflects the power of collaboration in building healthier communities and ensuring that no one is left behind. โค๏ธ
