CONTINUOUS ENFORCEMENT FOR A SMOKE-FREE ILOILO CITY!

Smoking and va**ng are strictly prohibited in all public places.

Let us protect the public, our minor kids and students from the dangers of smoking and va**ng.

Our mission is to safeguard public health and eliminate the dangers of secondhand smoke, with absolute priority given to protecting minor kids, students, and vulnerable individuals.

PROTECTING OUR YOUTH
To shield our children and students, the city strictly prohibits:
• 100-Meter Radius Rule: Smoking, va**ng, and the sale of to***co/v**e products are entirely banned within 100 meters of schools, public plazas, playgrounds, and health facilities.
• No Promo Displays: Sari-sari stores and shops are forbidden from displaying cigarette advertisements, promotional materials, or drop boxes.
• Zero Minor Access: Selling to minors or allowing minors to use to***co or v**e products within an establishment is heavily penalized.

PENALTIES FOR INDIVIDUAL VIOLATORS
If you are caught smoking or va**ng in unauthorized public areas or near youth-frequented zones, you will receive an official citation ticket with these corresponding fines:
• 1st Offense: ₱1,500 fine
• 2nd Offense: ₱2,000 fine
• 3rd & Succeeding Offenses: ₱5,000 fine (and/or up to 10 days of imprisonment).

PENALTIES FOR BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENTS
Owners and managers have a duty to keep their spaces smoke-free. Establishments that fail to place visible "No Smoking" signs, provide ashtrays, tolerate smoking/va**ng on-site, or sell products near schools will face severe business penalties:
• 1st Offense: ₱5,000 fine
• 2nd Offense: ₱5,000 fine + 1-Month Suspension of Business Permit
• 3rd Offense: ₱5,000 fine + Full Revocation of Business Permit / Permanent Closure

LET’S DO OUR PART, ILONGGOS!
Compliance is a shared community responsibility.

Let us support our ICAST enforcers and PNP’s as they maintain a healthier, safer, and cleaner environment for the next generation. Report violations, respect the law.

TUMANON NATON ANG LAYI para sa bwas-damlag sang aton KABATAAN kag PAMILYA.

Our hearts are filled with gratitude as we successfully conducted "A Parcel of Hope VII", a joint outreach program of the Association of Respiratory Care Practitioners of the Philippines (ARCPP) – Western Visayas Chapter and Iloilo City Anti-Smoking Taskforce (ICAST), dedicated to the brave children of Friends of Cancer Kids of Iloilo, Inc., the beneficiaries of our Takbo Lungs 2.0 Fun Run.

This outreach was more than a day of giving, it was a celebration of hope, compassion, and the remarkable courage of children who continue to inspire us every single day.

These young warriors are among the very reasons why we continue to enforce smoke-free laws and advocate for healthier, cleaner communities. Every effort we make to protect people from the dangers of to***co and secondhand smoke is driven by our commitment to safeguard the health and future of children like them. They remind us that our advocacy is not simply about enforcing an ordinance, it is about protecting lives and giving every child the chance to grow up healthier and stronger.

We were blessed to share meals, fulfill wish lists, distribute gifts, and create precious memories with these amazing children and their families. Their smiles, despite the battles they face, remind us that hope, kindness, and compassion have the power to brighten even the most difficult days.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to everyone who made A Parcel of Hope VII possible ; our generous sponsors, donors, volunteers, supporters, and friends who shared their time, resources, and hearts. Your kindness brought joy, comfort, and hope to every child and family we had the privilege to serve.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Friends of Cancer Kids of Iloilo, Inc. for warmly welcoming us and allowing ARCPP – Western Visayas Chapter and ICAST to become part of your journey. Thank you for trusting us to share this special day with your incredible children and families. Your courage, resilience, and unwavering hope continue to inspire us and remind us why our advocacy and service matter.

We also thank every member of ARCPP – Western Visayas Chapter and ICAST whose dedication and teamwork made this outreach possible. Together, we remain committed not only to promoting respiratory health and smoke-free communities but also to bringing hope, compassion, and smiles to those who need them most.

As we move forward, we renew our commitment to continue advocating, enforcing, and serving, because every child deserves clean air to breathe, hope to hold on to, and a brighter tomorrow to look forward to.

Together, through compassion, advocacy, and service, we continue to make a difference, one child, one family, and one act of kindness at a time. ❤️🎗️

Thank you Hon. Miguel Treñas, Hon. Alan Zaldivar, Hon. Mandrie Malabor, Hon. Nene Dela Llana, Hon. Sedfrey Cabaluna for your support. ❤️🎗️

Rising Health | ICAST Smoke-free and Vape-free Advocacy for Children

This week, the Kids Smoke-free Storytelling Program conducted at the Child Development Centers in the three barangays of Sto. Rosario Duran, Rizal Ibarra, and Gen. Hughes in City Proper.
The program aims to educate young children about the importance of living a smoke-free and v**e-free lifestyle through interactive storytelling, engaging activities, and age-appropriate learning.
This initiative promotes healthy habits at an early age while encouraging children to become advocates for a clean, safe, and smoke-free environment in their homes and communities.
