HEAT INDEX & CLEAN AND GREEN AWARENESS ACTIVITY
This morning, our hospital successfully conducted a Heat Index Awareness and Clean & Green Awareness Activity, a joint effort of the Public Health Unit (PHU) and the Risk Reduction Management Office (RRMO) of the hospital, attended by hospital staff and our valued OPD clients.
The program formally opened with a prayer, followed by an introduction led by Ms. Eme Solde, RN.
The first session featured a meaningful and informative talk on Heat Index Awareness, facilitated by Mr. Elmer Cabactulan, RN, HEPO Designate. The discussion focused on understanding the Heat Index, recognizing heat-related illnesses, and learning practical ways to protect ourselves and others from the effects of excessive heat.
To make the session more engaging and to check the participantsβ retention, the talk concluded with Trivia Questions. Participants who correctly answered the questions received various items as prizes, making the learning experience both informative and enjoyable!
Following the Heat Index session was the Clean and Green Awareness Talk, delivered by Mr.Jhonny Baslot, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a clean, healthy, and environmentally friendly hospital and community.
The activity concluded with warm and inspiring advice from our Chief Nurse, Maβam Miraluna Ramos, RN, MN, who encouraged everyone to continue practicing what we have learned and to remain committed to promoting health, safety, cleanliness, and environmental responsibility.
We are truly grateful for the full support of our Chief of Hospital, Dr. Iris B. Ratunil, and our Administrative Officer, Ms. Rhonna Ann Quadra, whose support and cooperation helped make this activity a success.
Thanks to everyone who attended and congratulations to those who participated and contributed to the success of this meaningful activity!
