PhiloMedicaScientia Advocacy Page PhiloMedicaScientia (PMS) is the first and the only independent all-female academic organization in the College of Medicine, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila.

A non-government, non-religious, and non-profit organization in Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila-Ospital ng Maynila (PLM-OM). It has over 300 members, composed of female medical students, interns, residents, fellows and consultants. For over 30 years, PMS has continuously extended its service to the university and various communities within and outside of Manila.

A successful hands-on session at 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐕𝐄𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐎 𝐕𝐈𝐀𝐋: 𝐀 𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐒-𝐎𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐋𝐄𝐁𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐌𝐘 𝐒𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐒 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐑! 🩸

Our medical and undergraduate students stepped beyond the textbook and into hands-on learning, gaining a better understanding of proper blood collection through demonstrations, guided practice, and live venipuncture. More than learning the steps, the session gave participants the opportunity to apply the technique, refine their precision, and learn from actual practice.

Healthcare made more purposeful within the community 🏘️

Today, September 19, 2026, PhiloMedicaScientia had the opportunity to participate in a medical mission at San Gabriel the Archangel Parish Church in Caloocan. This offered a range of services including ECG, dermatology and dental consultations, laboratory diagnostics, pharmaceutical assistance, and even haircuts. 🩺✨

This shows how we value collaboration and making quality health care accessible to the masses.

We are deeply thankful to Sis Rosary May B. Canay-Diaz, Eucharist Pilgrim Healer of Mary (EPHOM), San Gabriel the Archangel Parish and everyone who generously gave their time and effort in this mission 💚
