PhiloMedicaScientia Advocacy Page PhiloMedicaScientia (PMS) is the first and the only independent all-female academic organization in the College of Medicine, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila.

A non-government, non-religious, and non-profit organization in Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila-Ospital ng Maynila (PLM-OM). It has over 300 members, composed of female medical students, interns, residents, fellows and consultants. For over 30 years, PMS has continuously extended its service to the university and various communities within and outside of Manila.

Yesterday, May 23, 2026, we had the opportunity to hold a Medical Mission at Sarile Chapel, Malabon, Metro Manila, in partnership with Eucharist Pilgrim Healer of Mary (EPHOM). 🩺💚

Through this mission, we were able to offer different health services to the community, including laboratory tests, ECG, and tuli mission. 🧪📈✨ More than the services provided, the day served as a reminder of our advocacy—to bring care closer to the people and to serve with compassion, presence, and purpose. 🤝

We would like to sincerely thank Eucharist Pilgrim Healer of Mary (EPHOM) and Doc Rosary May B. Canay-Diaz for making this meaningful activity possible, and to everyone who shared their time, effort, and heart in serving the community. 🙏

May we continue to be guided by the same spirit of service as we work toward making healthcare more accessible, one community at a time. 🫶🩺

Pulse on Paper is a wrap — and what an afternoon it was! 😍

We had the privilege of learning from Dr. Sharon Y. Guinto, an Adult Cardiologist, who turned ECG strips into something far more than lines on paper. Her clinical expertise gave every rhythm a purpose — a reminder that reading an ECG is really just learning to listen to what the heart is trying to say. 📄⚡
