📣 FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY

This month of April, the Philippine Association of Speech-Language Pathologists (PASP) celebrates 35 years of service to the Filipino people. In the early 1990s, a group of about 30 speech pathologists (SPs) gathered at the College of Allied Medical Professions of the University of the Philippines-Manila. They conceptualized an organization that will promote the regulation of speech therapy practice in the Philippines. In 1991, the Securities and Exchange Commission formally recognized the association. Today, our community is composed of more than 600 registered speech-language pathologists (RSLPs).

New freebie for families!

Starting AAC at home can feel overwhelming and families deserve support that feels clear, doable, and encouraging.

We created a simple 1‑page handout to help caregivers get started with their child’s AAC device. It covers the basics: keeping the device nearby, modeling words during everyday routines, offering choices, and celebrating all communication. This is the kind of resource we wish every family received on Day 1.
