The Iloilo Mission Hospital, Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee & Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee conducted an Antimicrobial Stewardship Refresher entitled โ€œ๐‘จ๐‘ด๐‘บ ๐‘น๐’†๐’‡๐’“๐’†๐’”๐’‰: ๐‘ฒ๐’†๐’†๐’‘๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ ๐’๐’–๐’“ ๐‘ฏ๐’๐’”๐’‘๐’Š๐’•๐’‚๐’ ๐‘บ๐’‚๐’‡๐’† ๐’‡๐’“๐’๐’Ž ๐‘บ๐’–๐’‘๐’†๐’“๐’ƒ๐’–๐’ˆ๐’”โ€ as part of the World Pharmacists Day 2026 celebration with the theme โ€œ๐‘ฌ๐’Ž๐’‘๐’๐’˜๐’†๐’“๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ ๐‘ท๐’‰๐’‚๐’“๐’Ž๐’‚๐’„๐’Š๐’”๐’• ๐’‡๐’๐’“ ๐‘ฏ๐’†๐’‚๐’๐’•๐’‰๐’Š๐’†๐’“ ๐‘ญ๐’–๐’•๐’–๐’“๐’†โ€.

The refresher empowers our pharmacist in their critical role in ensuring rational Antimicrobial Use, strengthening the hospitalโ€™s future implementation of a close formulary for Antimicrobials and reinforcing AMS policies.

The activity was highlighted by a comprehensive and insightful lecture delivered by our Main speaker, ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐‰๐ฎ๐š๐ง ๐ˆ๐ฌ๐ฆ๐š๐ž๐ฅ ๐†. ๐’๐ฎ๐ฆ๐š๐ ๐š๐ฒ๐ฌ๐š๐ฒ, ๐ˆ๐Œ๐‡ ๐€๐Œ๐’ ๐‚๐ก๐š๐ข๐ซ๐ฆ๐š๐ง who extensively discussed the principles of AMS, rational antimicrobial use and the review of DOH AMS Manual.
