BPH Kalilangan held a “Preventive Education and Advocacy Programs to Counter Substance Abuse Seminar” on March 30–31, 2026. This activity aimed to equip staff with the knowledge and skills to address substance use and addiction, as well as educate them on the biological, psychological, and social aspects of addiction to support effective prevention and intervention, in line with Department of Health guidelines.

The topics included the Effects of Dangerous Drugs, RA 9165, and the Drug-Free Workplace Program, which were presented by dedicated and esteemed PDEA Regional Office 10 personnel IO II Ruth C. Hidalgo, IA I Patricio S. Alerta Jr., and SO 2 Christian Hays G. Renacia.

Together, we strengthen our commitment to a safe, healthy, and drug-free workplace, promoting a healthier workforce for all.

BPH KALILANGAN employees and its Animal Bite Treatment Center Coordinators once again commemorated the Annual Rabies Awareness Celebration this March with a half-day activity full of educational and informative lectures and fun-filled activities, prepared by the leading committee and the BukSU interns.

For this year, the focus is on vaccination being the key to preventing this deadly disease. With this, we remind and encourage the community to promptly go to the nearest Animal Bite Treatment Center (ABTC) for your post exposure prophylaxis after an animal bite (dog, cat).

Let's work together to eliminate rabies and protect our communities.

“Strengthening Readiness: Earthquake and Fire Drill Simulation March 2, 2026 at Bukidnon Provincial Hospital – Kalilangan”

Disasters such as earthquakes and fires can happen unexpectedly and may cause serious harm to patients, hospital staff, and visitors. As a health institution, Bukidnon Provincial Hospital – Kalilangan must ensure that all personnel are prepared and knowledgeable on proper emergency response procedures.
The conduct of the Earthquake and Fire Drill aims to strengthen disaster preparedness, promote safety awareness, and practice coordinated emergency response within the hospital premises.

• To familiarize hospital personnel, interns, and staff with proper earthquake and fire emergency procedures.
• To demonstrate the correct “Duck, Cover, and Hold” technique during an earthquake.
• To practice safe and orderly evacuation procedures.
• To orient participants on the proper use of fire safety equipment.
• To enhance coordination between hospital staff and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

The Earthquake and Fire Drill Simulation at Bukidnon Provincial Hospital – Kalilangan was successfully conducted. The activity enhanced preparedness, promoted teamwork, and reinforced the importance of safety in a healthcare setting. Continuous conduct of such drills is essential to ensure readiness in times of actual emergencies.
