Announcement to All Our Dear Patients

Due to the newly released circular from PhilHealth, effective April 30, 2026, PhilHealth updated its Maternity Benefits through Circular No. 2026-0006, known as the Expanded Maternity Care Benefits.

Only LOW-RISK PREGNANCIES will now be covered in Lying-in / Maternity Clinics. HIGH-RISK PREGNANCIES will no longer be covered, such as:
• First pregnancy
• Fifth pregnancy and above
• Mothers aged 35 years old and above, regardless of the number of pregnancies

Only mothers on their second (2nd), third (3rd), and fourth (4th) pregnancies, aged 20 to 34 years old, with active and updated PhilHealth contributions, may avail of PhilHealth benefits in Lying-in Clinics. They are the only ones who may receive coverage for the Maternity and Newborn Care Package.

We were also surprised because it was only yesterday (May 14, 2026) that a meeting was called for all Lying-in Clinics regarding this matter.
