Diabetes does not stop champions💙🫰💪
In the Wimbledon final, with millions watching around the world, Alexander Zverev calmly took his insulin injection during a changeover.
A powerful reminder that living with Type 1 diabetes doesn’t have to limit your dreams or your ability to compete at the highest level.
Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at just three years old, Zverev has never hidden his condition. Instead, he’s used his platform to show that it doesn’t define what he can achieve.
Ironically, Wimbledon had long been his toughest Grand Slam. He had never progressed beyond the fourth round, and has often joked that his grass allergy didn’t make life any easier.
This year, he broke that barrier in spectacular fashion by reaching his first Wimbledon final and climbing to World No. 2 in the ATP rankings today.
Proof that champions aren’t defined by the obstacles they face, but by how they overcome them.
