3 categories for Rabies exposure
• Category 1: No break in the skin
• Category 2: Minor scratches or superficial skin breaks
• Category 3: Deep bites, bleeding wounds, head/neck bites, bat exposure, or saliva contact with eyes, nose, or mouth

⚠️ The higher the category, the more urgent the treatment.

Treatment may include:
• Anti-rabies vaccine (PEP)
• Tetanus shot (TT)
• Rabies Immunoglobulin (ERIG) for severe exposure

Do not wait for symptoms. Early treatment saves lives.

Unlike dogs or cats, bats are tricky—you may not feel their bite, and sometimes there are no visible marks on the skin.

❗ Even without a noticeable wound, you can still be exposed to rabies.

📌 Possible exposure situations:
• Inside or outside your home
• At work, during travel, or in public places
• Any direct or close contact with a bat
• When bat saliva enters your eyes, nose, mouth, or an open wound

🚨 Remember: Rabies is deadly once symptoms appear.

👉 If you think you’ve been exposed, seek medical care immediately. Don’t wait!
