Strengthening Skills. Saving Lives. 💙

On July 28, 2026, Zone Medical and Intervention Hospital, Inc. successfully conducted a Basic Life Support (BLS) Training for its staff in partnership with the Bicol Regional Hospital and Medical Center–Department of Health.

The training equipped participants with essential life-saving skills, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the proper use of automated external defibrillators (AED), and appropriate emergency response techniques. Through hands-on demonstrations and practical simulations, participants strengthened their confidence and preparedness in managing critical situations where immediate action can save lives.

This activity reflects ZMIH’s continuing commitment to staff development, patient safety, and excellence in healthcare service. By enhancing the knowledge and emergency response skills of its personnel, the hospital ensures that its workforce remains competent, responsive, and ready to provide quality care.

SUCCESSFUL DIABETES AWARENESS WEEK 2026 💙

Zone Medical and Intervention Hospital, Inc. successfully conducted two meaningful Diabetes Awareness Week activities on July 14, 2026 at RHU Guinobatan and July 17, 2026 at ZMI Hospital+, with the theme:

“Know Diabetes Now! Fight Diabetes!”

The events featured informative health lectures, free RBS, ECG, and PAD screenings, Zumba, snacks, raffles, and other activities promoting diabetes prevention, early detection, proper management, and healthier lifestyles.

Special recognition is given to Dr. Lina De Los Reyes-Asido, who served as the main facilitator of both activities and shared valuable updates on diabetes and peripheral arterial lower-extremity disease.

ZMIH extends its heartfelt gratitude to Diabetes Philippines–Albay Chapter and the Philippine Center for Diabetes Education Foundation, Inc. for their partnership and continued commitment to diabetes education and advocacy.

ZMIH also extends its sincere appreciation to resource speakers; Dr. Yvan Kenneth D. Benosa, FPCS, FPSGS; Janell D. Aleño, RND; Marisil B. Buban, RND; and Dr. Mark Linus P. Meneses, MD, DPBO, for generously sharing their knowledge and expertise during the two-day Diabetes Awareness Week celebration.

The hospital likewise recognizes the diabetic patients who led the prayers, as well as the organizers, healthcare personnel, screening teams, volunteers, partners, and participants whose dedication and support contributed to the successful conduct of both events.

As ZMIH celebrates its 10th year of service, we continue to mark this milestone with meaningful firsts—and the successful launch of the 1st ZMIH Cup National Table Tennis Tournament is certainly one of them.

Day 1 of the very first ZMIH Cup National Table Tennis Tournament was nothing short of spectacular.

We opened with a strong and inspiring program followed by intense Day 1 matches that set the tone for the rest of the tournament. The response was overwhelming — with registrations pouring in and a remarkable turnout from athletes across different levels of competition.

We are proud to welcome a diverse and highly competitive field featuring a 6-time UAAP Table Tennis Champion from UST, PRISAA qualifiers, Palarong Pambansa standouts, elite Bicolano players, national-level athletes, and an inspiring para-athlete proving that determination, passion, and love for the sport know no limits.

More than a tournament, the ZMIH Cup is a celebration of excellence, perseverance, and community through sport. We are grateful to all the athletes, coaches, officials, partners, and supporters who helped make this milestone event possible.
