Day 1 – 47th Commencement Exercises

The Health and Risk Management Committee, under the leadership of Dr. Christia Marie P. Flores, Head of Medical and Dental Services, ensured the safety and well‑being of all participants during the opening day of the 47th Commencement Exercises.
In close collaboration with the Provincial Health Office (PHO) headed by Dr. Maria Vivian Villar‑Espino, and the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), the team implemented health protocols and risk management measures.
Medical personnel and emergency responders were strategically stationed across the venue to provide immediate assistance when needed. Preventive measures such as first aid posts, and crowd safety monitoring were also put in place.
The joint effort of PSU’s Health and Risk Management Committee, PHO, and CDRRMO exemplified the institution’s commitment to safeguarding the community while celebrating this milestone event.

Key Points About Toothache

Causes:
Tooth decay, gum disease, dental abscess, cracked tooth, trauma, or erupting wisdom teeth.

Symptoms: Throbbing pain, sensitivity to hot/cold, swelling/redness, pain when chewing, foul taste.

When to Seek Care: Persistent pain beyond 1–2 days, fever, swelling, pus, or severe discomfort.

Treatment:
Pain relievers, dental filling, root canal, extraction, antibiotics if infection is present.

Prevention: Brush twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, floss daily, limit sugary foods, regular dental check-ups
